The Finanser’s Week at #SIBOS in pictures

It's hard to capture the essence of SIBOS, but these pictures give you a brief insight review.

The conference venue is always huge.

As are the crowds arriving on day one.

Some of whom arrived in style.

To hear great debates about the big issues in banking.

Debates that make you question the future of banking.

And maybe you should (who let this in?).

You can then go to the Exhibit Hall and experience pitch after pitch in the Open Theatre sessions.

Or on the exhibitor's stands.

Some of whom bribe you with alcohol to come chat.

Whilst others try cappuccino (which always works in the morning with HSBC's resident barista Franco).

But even that does not work if you've been subject to heavy fines recently.

Something that, for some banks, makes the trust factor a challenge.

Nevertheless, you can always put your cash in a case and paint the town red.

Then there were the book signings (every day on the innotribe stand).

Some signings were more popular than others.

But then, even after he leaves, you can't get rid of this Brett King guy.

No matter, you can always retire to the nearest bar (I mistakenly thought this was one).

And then, as the week ends, the crowds gather for the final keynote.

As reflected in the opening plenary.

And as the last words of wisdom echo around the conference hall.

The staff gather to make our final night special.

And so we wait for our jets home from Boston.

And look forward to doing it all over again a year from now.
