The Wall Street Dance

A friend pointed out this video  in French to me.

I’ve no idea why, except that there’s a new dance craze sweeping the world.  The idea is to hold one leg off the floor whilst swinging your arms around.

Not a bad idea.

Apparently, it takes its inspiration from the old English song, the Hokey-Cokey, which goes:

You put your left leg in,
You put your left leg out,
In, out, in, out and shake it all about.
You do the hokey cokey and you turn around.
That’s what’s it’s all about.

However, the true story is that the dance craze began in Wall Street dealing rooms, as traders realised they could do nothing to stop their losses and so they started doing this instead as it’s far more constructive.

Happy Easter!
