SWIFT’s strong commitment to innovation

So here we are at the final full day of SIBOS and the tiredness bug has kicked in big time.

Burning the candles at both ends is not good for health, but it’s good for networking.

After the innotribe startup challenge, it was back around the exhibit hall once more, linking up with friends and colleagues and working out where to party for the night, then over to an innotribe party.

Now you may all think I’m going overboard on innotribe this year but, as they are hosting me, are you surprised?

Equally, I have found the workstream much better organised and stimulating this year.

One thing that truly stands out is how committed SWIFT are to this stream too.

For example, the number of times that Lazaro Campos and other senior SWIFT executives have been in and out of this group is quite breathtaking, with Lazaro even joining the group for the reception last night.

Equally, to stump up $100k in cash to help startups is strong commitment (although one colleague did say: "I admire your philanthropic interests").

I guess, with regular commentary on future directions, that commitment is not misplaced as SWIFT need strong direction for their own future and, if they’re going to get it anywhere, it’s here.

Anyways, back into the fray this morning and the first thing to greet me is the sight of a nice Canadian moose.

Funnily enough, it reminded me of last night …

Moose

These Canadians sure know how to party.
