Today's news headlineRBS pension deal 'not justified' (BBC) – "The size of former RBS chief Sir Fred Goodwin's pension is not justified, Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond has told Holyrood."

One of hundreds of news items criticising the £693,000 pension (today's figures) Sir Fred Goodwin will receive from Royal Bank of Scotland.

One of hundreds of headlines stating that Sir Fred had left RBS and mentioning his pension six months ago.

News headline, 14th February 2009: HBOS announces £10billion loss (The Mirror) – Lloyds share price loses a third in value in a day.

News headline, December 12th 2008: "HBOS investors vote for Lloyds TSB merger" (The Times) detailing HBOS's losses of over £8 billion.
