ANNOUNCEMENT – LONDON, UK: JUNE 25 2018
Back in 2003, Andy Coppell and I conceived the idea for The Financial Services Club, with the objectives of:
- Promoting discussion among senior people working in Financial Services, who were interested in better understanding the likely future direction of the Market;
- Enabling networking on a face to face basis to encourage the development of personal relationships, leading to better communications and understanding across the various players in the Market; and
- Providing access to Thought Leadership speakers from across the world in an informal atmosphere under Chatham House Rules.
The Financial Services Club has developed and grown successfully across Europe over the years, and become a considerably strong brand presence not just in Europe but across the world.
Now, with the Financial Services Club’s proven success, we have decided to expand the offerings into more events and develop further as a global brand. In this respect we are expanding the Financial Services Club’s management team, and are delighted to announce that Leslie Holstrom and Georgina Wellman will be joining the Financial Services Club with immediate effect (bios below). We have worked with Leslie and Georgina for over a decade, and know that they will add significant capabilities to grow the Financial Services Club internationally across all markets.
The Financial Services Club will continue its current basis of organisation pretty much as it does today, with all future plans pre-advised and discussed with sponsors and members first. I will also continue to be involved in the forward programme, including deciding the topics and the speakers at meetings, and will continue to Chair selected meetings, as has been the case lately.
At this time of change we would like to thank the sponsors and members for their support, without which we would not have achieved so much as we have to date.
We look forward to the Financial Services Club continuing to be successful and to fulfilling the original objectives, as well as contributing to the creation of a better understanding of the future of Financial Services.
