What does the internet think?

There's a great little website called: "What does the internet think?"

It looks for phrases like "I love" or "I hate" from Google and other search engines about your search term, and then ranks them according to whether the world thinks of your chosen search subject as positive or negative.

As a result, you can find out how folks feel about anyone or any subject.

For example, "Barack Obama":

Obama

Yep, the internet is mainly positive about him.

What about "Gordon Brown"?

Gordon brown
Oh dear.

Mind you, it does seem extraordinarily accurate.

So, howsabout Banking?

Banking
That's not good, but then I did say it seemed quite accurate.

So let's see if it's the same about "banks":

Banks
Now that's strange ... but then, looking through the results, it seems to mainly be entries about supermodel Tyra Banks:

Maybe not so weird then.

Finally, just to prove the accuracy of this engine, what about "Fred Goodwin"?

Goodwin1

Wow, the internet is "not quite sure" about Fred Goodwin ... but then he's agreed to give back some of his pension so maybe we aren't so sure about Fred, and "What does the internet think?" proves its' mettle once more.
