Spare a thought for the millionaires [Infographic]

It's tough at the top, with one in ten households in the UK sitting on assets worth over £1 million.

You would think they would be happy, but no!  Most millionaires do not consider themselves wealthy until they have at least £3.2 million ($5 million), so here's a nice chart from our friends over at Wish.co.uk to give you a good view of how millionaires are doing this year.

The digital transformation journey

I find more and more people are starting to understand that digital is a transformation …

  • Lovely infographic, but I think it needed a “does this sound right” check applied to it’s most astounding (wish-ful ?) statistic. “1 in 10 households have assets worth over £1M” ?? … Maybe amongst the high net worth investors referenced, but I think not in the real world. Given that for most people their house is the single largest asset, Zoopla just reported a jump to just under 400,000 £1M+ properties. Out of £25M houses in the UK. Even if we, say, generously double that to account for other assets it suggests to me about 1M tops with assets of £1M+ that suggests 4% as an absolute top end. More likely somewhere between 2-3%.
