Robobank: protects the public, secures their funds and guarantees their money

I was watching The Apprentice the other night, and the task was to create a children’s bank for 6-9 year olds. The contestants had to work together to create an app and piggy bank, and then pitch it to senior investors from Go Henry, Monzo and TSB. It was a disaster. In fact, the team that won got a good chunk of investment, but it was not a great pitch or idea tbh.

After the show, viewers said the whole thing was awful and not one but TWO contestants were fired. Watch the show to find out who (or click here).

The thing is that, as the show went on, I was thinking that I could create a good children’s app for kids. I’m a fintech expert with two children, so what would I have created? Well, I would take the things my children love – Roblox and Minecraft – and do a variation of those. There is a Creator Hub, and I would start there.

My Roblox creation would begin with a challenge to children to save a million robux, the currency of Roblox. You don’t actually get those robux, as that’s a huge amount of real money ($125,000), but it would be simulated in the gaming world to give them an idea that they were earning real money.

Then the start point is that you have to explore the virtual world – called Robank obvs – which is full of robots who have robux. As you explore Robank, you have to gather things to trade – swords, spears, spades and other things beginning with ‘s’ – and, when you meet a robot, you trade your collection of things for robux.

The more you trade, the more you save.

The thing is that, whilst living in this world, you get attacked by other players, as well as creepers and skeletons, who want to steal your robux. If you have swords, spears, spades and other things, you can fight them off … or can you?

More importantly, you have to decide when to go to the Robank and deposit your robux. Is it after you do your first trade or your fifth? And what happens if you get attacked along the way?

There’s another catch here as well, in that there are good guys like Rainbow, Lunar, and Gold, who will happily exchange your robux for items everybody wants. For example, instead of sword you could have change it into a diamond sword; instead of a spear, you could exchange it for a platinum spear; instead of a spade, you could have a  silicon spade … you get the idea.

The thing is that your objective is to gather a million robux, and therefore the more you trade and spend, the less you can deposit.

The problem is that there is already a Roblox Bank, so that was a shit idea.

Deposit or withdrawing today? Step into this newer addition to Club Roblox! As a fun fact, there used to be a bank in the Plaza, but it was removed some time ago. Now, it has been brought back with a fresh new look! Utilize the ATM machines for quick tokens into your pocket, or roleplay as an accountant for token planning. Sneak behind the counter to find the Club Roblox safe, stacked with gold bars and deposit boxes! As a criminal, this might be the place for you, but don't get caught by the police! For all players, this building is within the same server as the City, like the Supermarket, so interaction is made easy. This building can be found opposite the Police Station!

The thing I would add however, is that I would not call this Robank … I would call it Robobank!!!

Like Robocop, Robobank protects the public, secures their funds and guarantees their money [just in case you forgot, Robocop has three directives to serve the public trust, protect the innocent, and uphold the law].
