I spend every day being more and more amazed at what AI can do, particularly with video. From my bedroom, I can create a whole marketing campaign with high-end advertising in just a few days. To illustrate this, I was amazed at this advert for Kalshi, a prediction markets FinTech:
Aired during the NBA Finals in America, the ad is 100% AI-generated by a single person in two days, using Google's Gemini to generate parts of the script and Veo 3 to generate all the videos and sounds.
What intrigues me about this is that we now have no-code, no-intermediary, no-creatives involved in launching companies. Kalshi is a good example. Founded in 2018 and launched in 2021, it allows people to trade the outcomes of different events, from basketball games to egg prices. Some might call that gambling, but it’s betting on outcomes … any difference?
Well, the founders claims there are major differences as Kalshi don't face off against their customers – instead they are just the exchange standing in between traders with different views, extracting a small fee each time someone takes a position. Having said that, Kalshi is facing off against regulators who have told them to cease offering markets on sports.
There’s a fine line between gambling and markets, as 2008 demonstrated when Lehman Brothers collapsed.
Anyways, as of June 2025, it is estimated that Kalshi has 195 team members (ed: employees), $36 million of funding and a revenue of under $1 million, and they illustrate well the concept that’s been in my head for a while. The concept is to launch a fintech from my bedroom.
Using today’s no-code, no-intermediary, no-creatives approach, I have this idea that you could take anything from nothing and build a unicorn from your bedroom. Obvs, I am not going to share which idea of mine, but let’s take a perspective. You wake up one morning and think: I wonder if people could trade peer-to-peer using cryptocurrency on the likelihood of a politician being elected or exited.
I give that challenge to my no-code AI builder and launch it through a great advertising campaign built by AI. For example, this took me 5 minutes:
The more people with Skinner in the game, the sharper the outcome and that's why I am launching LettuceTruss.io soon from my bedroom. Lettuce know what you think!
Meanwhile, I am going to take my dose of Puppramin which, yes, is completely AI generated advertising ...
