Talking of the Davos jamboree, I'm going to a couple of jamborees in Asia this year.
The first is the Asian Payments Summit from 9th to 12th March in Hong Kong. I was there last year and it proved useful, withover 160 folks talking about all sorts of stuff from regulation, infrastructures, new delivery channels, remittances, trade finance, supply chain management, standards and best practice globally.
If anyone wants to meet up there, I'm chairing the conference this year and the organisers have given me an offer of 30% discount to blog readers. Just enter "KP4073CK" when you go the registration page.
The second is the Asian Banker Summit in Beijing from 11th to 13th May. This is one of Asia's biggest banking events, and attracts major global crowds. They've had a few good keynotes in the past, such as Al Gore, and again you can get a discount of 10% by just quoting "Chris Skinner" on the registration form.
I'm guessing I'll get more offers coming in like this during the year in other regions, as I go to a lot of other events in the USA, Europe and Middle East, as well as Asia, so watch this space for further discount deals in the future.
Meantime, if any of you are going to be in these areas on these dates, let me know and hopefully we can link up.
Oh yes, and Gong Xi Fa Cai to all of you too!
