It's Sunday and one week before the London Marathon, one of the world's largest with over 35,000 runners ... and this year, I'll be one of them.
Therefore, in the spirit of our times, the Blog will be sponsored by Just Giving this week.
You see, I'm running the Marathon for St Clare Hospice.
St Clare Hospice is a charity which cares for people & their families who are affected by life-threatening illness such as cancer, and looked after my mother-in-law in the last few weeks of her life.
They do a brilliant job and need every penny of help they can get so if you have a spare pound, dollar, euro or yen to put towards their cause and support my marathon run this year, that would be fantastic.
So far, we've raised over £2,000 for the cause this year thanks to the kind support of many of the Finanser's readers and my friends and family. We would love to break through £3,000 though, so every little helps. And just think of the pleasure you can have in seeing an outspoken banking person gasping around Canary Wharf next Sunday!
Go on, give as little or as much as you want or can ... every penny and cent counts.
p.s. if you’re a UK taxpayer, leave your details and
St Clare get an extra 28% for every £1 you give. Now that can’t be bad
can it?
