Cloud Computing in Financial Services Research

Thank you to the 235 readers of the Finanser for participating in the Cloud Computing Research the Financial Services Club conducted over the autumn.

The results will be released next Wednesday 14th October but, for those who are in London on 13th, we have a special meeting of the Financial Services Club where the results will be presented by yours truly.

The next debate of the Financial Services Club's Capital Markets Chamber will be held on Tuesday 13th October 2009 from 18.00 at The City IOD, New Broad Street House, 35 New Broad Street, London, EC2M 1NH.

The meeting will be a debate on Cloud Computing with the motion:

"This house believes Cloud Computing is just outsourcing in disguise."

The Speakers will be:

  • Nick Davies, CTO, Lombard Risk Management
  • Andrew Douglas, Securities Market Infrastructures Manager, SWIFT
  • Chris Skinner, Chairman, the Financial Services Club

PJ Di Giammarino, CEO JWG-IT Group Limited will chair the debate.
