Each year, the Evening Standard has an auction for charity.
This year it's for Kids UK, and the top City prize offer is to have lunch with Goldman Sachs' Chief Economist Jim O'Neill.
What a nice picture.
Relaxed, smiling, rich ... must be with Goldman Sachs (those in the news today!).
It's a far cry from last year, when some nutter paid almost fifteen grand to have lunch with Goldman Sachs co-CEO Michael Sherwood, or the year before when another enriched dealer paid over £10,000 to lunch with John Varley of Barclays.
Tut-tut. We must be in crisis.
Meanwhile, other times include a tour of the Bank of England (£719.78) or a trip to see Enron, the play, with Evening Standard's City Editor Chris Blackhurst (£345 - a day to go).
Mind you, I'm surprised that Gordon Brown's autographed tie and David Cameron's signed Whisky bottle, are worth less than Peter Mandelson's copy of The Prince by Machiavelli.
Surely, Mandy should have signed Bram Stoker's Dracula instead?
