Hey you.

Yes you, reading this 'ere bloggy thing.

Do you have an emission?

No, not flattulence.

A carbon emission conscience is what we're talking about.

If you do, then you need to join in First Direct's poll and webcast about how the climate change agenda is impacting on business and what you can do to reduce your emissions.

Also, if you take the poll, you can win a Wattson.

A Wattson?

Yep, one of these:

Wattson

Woah, coooolll ayyy?

One lucky reader of the Finanser who takes the poll, and mentions our website as the reason they clicked through, will win the Wattson worth almost £100.

Not bad.

And you'll save the planet a few emissions.

Go on, take the poll today.

You can access the poll here: http://www.cutcarbon.biz/ec/firstdirect/757/protect/poll.asp

The webcast takes place on Monday 7th December (12.30pm) with a panel comprising:

  • Harry Morrison of The Carbon Trust;
  • Michaela Wright from First Direct;
  • Adam Woodall of People, Profit, Planet; and
  • Chris Goodall, green business expert and blogger.

The debate will focus on the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC).

Under this scheme, businesses which reduce their carbon consumption will be able to sell the excess allowances to those wishing to consume more. The debate will focus on helping businesses to understand the implications of the scheme, helping them to prepare for its implementation in 2010 and explaining the benefits.

You can view the webcast here: www.cutcarbon.biz
