The next meeting of The Financial Services Club, London, is on Monday 23rd May with leading commentator Graham Bishop discussing whether the EU Fiscal Crisis will force Eurozone Political Union in 2011?
As all of us know, the end of the euro would be the end of Europe and only tough collective action from Eurozone leaders can prevent financial meltdown. But do political leaders fully realise the enormous scale of what is required and the frightening consequence of failure?
Graham Bishop will examine the driving forces and potential outcomes of the eurozone debt crisis.
Graham has spent nearly 40 years working in the City of London as an economist and investment manager. His City career encompasses Phillips & Drew, S G Warburg, and Salomon Brothers-Citigroup.
He has worked extensively with both European and UK political authorities including the European Commission, where he was a member of the Giovaninni Group. He was also a member of the Commission's Strategy Group on Financial Services which created the Financial Services Action Plan, and the Committee of Independent Experts on the preparation of the changeover to the single currency.
If you would like to attend then register as an FSClub member or non-member.
Anyone who does attend this meeting will also receive a free copy of his book on the subject, usually priced at £45.
