Operatic arias and sigh boats

After the big data session in the #innotribe yesterday, it was back to prowling the exhibit hall for gifts, drinks and dialogue.

It seems that this year’s exhibition lacks a lot off pizzazz – I wholly expected a few stands to have maple-leafed mousses on them – but, for what it lacks in pizzazz, it makes up for in wine, beer and champagne with almost every exhibitor offering some form of imbibement once the sun sets over the yard-arm … or well before in most cases (the press room serves wine all day long!).

Obviously, as someone who’s totally abstemious, I watched the crowds having massages and champagne at the Deutsche Bank booth, tequila slammers at the Bank Itau stand and a free dinner at the UBS stall.

Oh UBS … I’ll make no comment, but the signage has caused some mirth amongst conference goers this year.

Anyways, I finished my promenade by enjoying the wonderful operatic soprano singing of Judith Speisser at the Unicredit stand.

I think a few of the conference goers found her Carmen truly alluring whilst, for me, a glass of champagne and Puccini finished day two’s formal activities nicely.

Then it was off with Logica on a boat trip round the harbour where the sun setting over the yard arm truly was spectacular …

… followed by a brief sojourn over to a SunGard reception before bed.

Big z’s and then up bright and early for more SIBOS.

Must admit, a little surprised by all the news about the Eurozone whilst I'm over here but hey, who cares about that?
