Funding Circle, the start-up company that has now lent over £1 billion to UK small businesses, sent me an interesting link yesterday. Because I like the link and I like them, I thought I’d use it for today’s blog.
The link is to a gallery of great people throughout history – 100 Brilliant Minds, they call it – and their comments and quotes.
I was surprised not ot be on the list myself, but then only three financial people make the list – John Pierpont Morgan, Warren Buffet and Jorge Paulo Leman – so maybe that’s why. Meanwhile, technologists are scattered throughout the lists including Larry Ellison, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Larry Page, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Ma, Jeff Bezos, Reid Hoffman and more.
So here’s a few stand out quotes, and you can see the whole interactive version here. Oh, and my favourite quote is by Ralph Waldo Emerson who said: “I hate quotation. Tell me what you know.”
